Meet Our Founder & Principal Polymath – Dr. Constance Fears

Constance Y. Fears, JD, PhD, is the CEO and Principal Consultant of Polymath Regulatory Consultants, LLC, bringing two decades of scientific, legal, and manufacturing expertise to advise pharmaceutical, medical device, and other industries on Quality compliance. She holds a uniquely interdisciplinary academic background: a Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law, a Ph.D. in Cell & Molecular Biology (Cancer Biology) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, a graduate diploma in International and French Law from Université Jean Moulin III in Lyon, France, and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Florida State University. Drawing on such a diverse foundation, she has held positions as a postdoctoral research fellow in molecular biology, a tenure-track university professor, a Certified U.S. FDA Drug Investigator, and in senior Quality Compliance leadership at one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Dr. Fears has served as a global subject-matter expert on CGMPs for drug products, drug substances, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), vaccines, and medical devices.  She is a published researcher in biochemistry, cancer research, and molecular biology journals, and is active in professional organizations including the American Society for Quality (ASQ), the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA), and Women in Manufacturing (WiM). Combining formal education and professional experience across science, law, and industry, she offers a broad perspective to solve complex quality and compliance issues as a technical and regulatory expert.
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Constance now resides in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. She loves all things deep-fried, mentoring, and international travel. She also enjoys teaching and public speaking, and is a supporter of environmental conservation, human rights, and STEM education.
